  The Odessa branch of the Institute of Biology of the Southern Seas NASU. Priority scientific direction: research of structure, existential variability and functioning of sea ecosystems. Area of regular researches: high productive shelf zones of a northwest part of Black sea, including estuaries of the Danube, Dniepro-Bug and Dnestrov and lagoons impacted by high anthropogenic activity.

• YugNIRO, Kerch [79]

  The Southern Scientific Institute of Marine Fisheries and Oceanography, or YugNIRO (Kerch, Crimea), is involved into the complex studies of biology of the Black and Azov Seas and development of mariculture. It provides research in: ecosystem monitoring, ukrainian fishery, environmental protection, biological active compounds from hydrobionts.
