| Abstract: | The paper considers the methods of assessing the SSB of pollock as based on the results of one or several ichthyoplankton surveys. Water temperature data, and those on the duration and intensity of spawning, were used as well. The overall production was computed by integraring the daily production of polock eggs and spawning dynamics during the season of reproduction. The spawning stock is calculated on the basis of the total production of eggs with due regard to the biological characteristics of mature pollock (fecundity, sex ratio, mean weight). |
