| Abstract: | Preliminary investigations on the population structure of the Baltic sprat stock carried out in 1986 have not confirmed the existing idea that the sprat stock is subdivided. The results obtained enable to suggest the existence of a single population, but not a panmictic one, with the boundaries of the distribution area differing according to phenotypic frequencies. |
